Refund policy

Orders, Returns, Refunds & Exchanges Policy.

Last Updated: June 2026

MAK operates as a bespoke atelier, where returns, exchanges, and refunds are generally incompatible with the nature of the business, while legitimate concerns remain subject to fair and ethical assessment with due consideration for all parties involved.
By placing an order with M Al Khayyat ("MAK"): the client acknowledges and agrees to the following policy governing all bespoke commissions and made-to-order garments.

Orders, Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

As a made-to-measure atelier, each MAK garment is produced exclusively upon order, commissioned specifically for the individual client, and crafted on a bespoke basis.

As production is initiated specifically for each commission, all orders are considered final upon payment confirmation. Returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds are not available on made-to-order or made-to-measure garments. As each garment is commissioned exclusively for its intended wearer, it cannot be reassigned, resold, or repurposed for another client.

Variations in personal preference, changes of mind, styling expectations, event cancellations, or subjective assessments of fit, appearance, or suitability do not constitute grounds for return, exchange, or refund.

Measurements

Clients are kindly requested to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and completeness of all measurements, specifications, and information submitted at the time of purchase.

Garments are produced according to the measurements provided at the time of order. Variations arising from inaccurate, unclear, mistranslated, misspelled, incomplete, or incorrectly submitted measurements do not constitute a manufacturing defect and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund.

Quality & Craftsmanship

Each garment undergoes inspection prior to dispatch to ensure it meets our standards of quality and craftsmanship.

As part of our quality control procedures, photographic and video records may be created during the preparation and packaging process. Such records may be made available at the Company's discretion where relevant to an inquiry. Clients wishing to request access to such records may do so through our designated email channel.

Should a client believe that a garment presents a manufacturing defect, the matter must be reported promptly upon receipt and prior to the garment being worn, altered, cleaned, or otherwise handled beyond reasonable inspection. Any inquiry should be accompanied by clear photographs and a detailed description of the concern.

MAK reserves the right to review any concern and determine the appropriate course of action following assessment.

MAK reserves the right to request photographs, supporting documentation, and any additional information reasonably required for the assessment of an inquiry.

MAK reserves the right to request the return of a garment for inspection in connection with any complaint or quality-related inquiry.

Damage occurring after delivery, including damage resulting from wear, alterations, cleaning, storage, transportation, improper handling, or handling by third parties, shall not be considered a manufacturing defect and shall not give rise to any right of return, exchange, refund, or compensation.

Any remedy, where deemed appropriate by MAKfollowing assessment, shall be determined solely at the Company's discretion.

The submission of a complaint does not automatically entitle the client to a return, exchange, refund, repair, replacement, or other form of compensation.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
